Kindergarten class for 2010-2011 school year
The 2010 Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Week (November 15-19) focused on food, nutrition and where our food comes from, which is why Up, Down and Around by Katherine Ayres was the Kansas book selection. Loving Arms joined the statewide celebration of reading to preschoolers! So much learning capacity occurs in a child’s early years that it is imperative that we read to every toddler and preschooler every day.
We want to thank our outreach librarian, Anne Harris who played a big role and was instrumental to the success of our Kansas Reads to Preschoolers program. Our children brought different types of vegetables for Show and Share and made a special salad made from the vegetables they brought from home. Thank you to our local celebrity readers.
